Institute on Guardianship and Conservatorship
Overview
The Institute is a collaborative effort of the University of Iowa College of Law and the Drake University School of Law.
The Institute is dedicated to promoting a guardianship and conservatorship system that meets the needs of vulnerable Iowans who must rely on court-appointed guardians and conservators to act as substitute decision makers for them and provide them with care and protection.
It provides education, conducts pilot projects, engages in research, and advocates for an improved guardianship and conservatorship system.

Program on Aging
Overview
The National Health Law and Policy Resource Center (NHLP) conducts a Program on Aging. The purpose of this program is to promote access to needed health care and long term care for the aging population and to protect the elderly, especially the frail elderly and those with diminished decision making capacity, from abuse and neglect.

Program on Maternal and Child Health
Overview
The National Health Law and Policy Resource Center (NHLP) conducts a Maternal and Child Health Program. The purpose of this program is to promote access to needed health care and health related services for pregnant women, mothers, and children with special health care needs, and their families.
Conflict Management Institute (CMI)
Overview
The purpose of the Conflict Management (CMI) Institute is to promote fair, timely and cost-effective methods of preventing and resolving conflicts through collaborative problem solving on the part of organizational entities and individuals that will produce mutually acceptable and beneficial solutions to problems.
