Senior Advisor
Resimye Oral, Senior Advisor of the National Health Law and Policy Resource Center, received her medical degree from Ego University Medical School in Turkey and completed her postgraduate training at Ego University Medical School and Dr. Behcet Uz Children’s Hospital in Turkey. She also completed a NICU Externship at Cornell Medical Center and a Child Abuse and Neglect Fellowship at Ohio State University. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Her clinical interests are child abuse and neglect and domestic violence. Her research has focus on perinatal illicit drug screening/ intervention practices, prevention of in-utero exposure to drugs and prevention of shaken baby syndrome.
She is Clinical Director of the Child Protection Program at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. This Program provides evaluation, consultation and educational services to medical professionals and to agencies in Johnson County, Eastern Iowa and the State of Iowa as a whole.
