The Institute on Guardianship and Conservatorship: CLE Programs on New Guardianship and Conservatorship Laws
The Institute conducted three CLE programs on August 2, October 11, and November 15 about the new guardianship and conservatorship laws. There were nearly 700 registrants for these three CLE programs, and they received excellent feedback from registrants about their value.
In addition to the aforementioned three CLE programs, Institute staff made presentations on the new laws at seven additional educational programs. These programs were for various audiences, including lawyers, judges, guardians, conservators, and service providers.
Individuals who previously registered for the October 11 and November 15 CLE conferences may view videos of them through May 1 of 2020. Individuals who did not register for the October 11 or November 15 conferences may now register to view videos of the conferences but cannot receive CLE credit for such viewing. The University of Iowa Center for Conferences should be contacted for further information at conferences@uiowa.edu or 319-335-4141.
In 2020 the Institute will continue to carry out its objective to provide complete and accurate education about the new laws. For example, the Institute will sponsor a January webinar for guardians and conservators which will be co-sponsored by several organizations that advocate for individuals with disabilities. We look forward to staying in touch and letting you know about the Institute’s future educational activities.
